Sahar has been the principle choreographer and teacher at Passion for Bellydance for the past 10 years after training, teaching, and performing intensely with Hannan's Bellydance Studio in Toronto and Bellyup in Oakville for a number of years. She has developed quite a following in the Mississauga area as a result of her tremendous dedication to students in giving them every chance and every aid possible to develop and enhance their skills. At the same time, her focus is on improving confidence and self-esteem while keeping classes fun and challenging. Sahar continues to teach all bellydance classes of all levels, choreographing every routine herself in a vareity of styles to keep the classes interesting and uniquely innovative.
Angela Mojado
Angela Mojado has been dancing the hula for more than 30 years with the Hawaiian Pacific Magic dance company. The group provided opportunity to perform at CIOFF Folkloric Festivals throughout the world. She has also expanded her knowledge of Hula and Ori through seminars run by the organizers of Tahiti Fete. She studied at York University and obtain a BSC in Kinesiology. During her college years, she found many opportunities in dance including Hip Hop, Jazz, Modern, Flamenco, Ballroom and Latin dance. After graduating, she lived and work in London, UK for 2 years to follow her passion for travelling and languages. With the knowledge and understanding of body movement, stage performance and cultural meaning, she has gain a deeper appreciation of the dance arts and continues to share her interpretation with others willing to learn.
Ariane Terveld
Ariane Terveld has been dancing for 10 years, primarily studying Egyptian and Indian folk dances. She has travelled twice to India to live and study with the Kalbeliya gypsies and support the Kalbeliya Arts Academy, a small privately funded school outside of Pushkar, India, that teaches traditional music, dance and arts to gypsy children. She also sings and plays the Indian Kettle Drum called the Nagara, Middle Eastern Riq & Katim. She founded Obskurah, a folklore music and dance group, with her husband, Paul Georgiou. They perform traditional music from the Balkans, Middle East, South Asia and Europe. Her wealth of personal experience and knowledge brings a unique and rich aspect to her classes that her students enjoy.
